Abbie Greaves, an Edinburgh based author, is set to release her debut novel next month, written in her three years working as an assistant to a literary agent in London, following her graduation from the University of Cambridge. The Silent Treatment is the first work by the up and comer, centring around a couple who haven’t spoken to each other in six months, despite living under the same roof. Penguin Books describes the novel as celebrating ‘the phenomenal power of love and the importance of leaving nothing unsaid’, as well as having ‘characters that will capture your heart’. Already attracting praise from best-selling author JoJo Moyes, who branded the novel ‘a remarkably assured debut which doesn’t go where you expect it to go’ and said ‘I very much look forward to seeing what she writes next’, it seems Abbie Greaves is set for some big things after The Silent Treatment’s April release.
